This listing is for a vintage obijime - the finishing touch for a kimono ensemble. Obijime are wound across the middle of the obi belt and tied with a decorative knot at the front.  It is a braided or woven cording, sometimes referred to as kumihimo with a color and design that complements the obi rather than matching the color. This obijime is a formal-style, round braid with no tassels at the end. Instead, you find a short section of rainbow colors. The main part of the braid is beautifully dyed in gradients of pink that run from white to a deep fuchsia pink.
