"Neon Green" Woman's Japanique Jacket

A raw silk, bright green, long sleeved japanique Jacket converted from a contemporary michiyuki jacket. It's quite long - as are the sleeves - but light and airy and beautiful if belted (on a small framed person).

There's a lovely pink lining on the bodice/shoulder section but it is otherwise unlined.

Each Japanique Jacket starts out as a vintage michiyuki, which is a narrow jacket with snap closures meant to be worn on top of a kimono. Most vintage michiyuki won't fit larger frames, so we modified the traditional garment slightly (removed the snaps and tacked the panels back to create lapels) to make a roomier, open, flowing jacket that can fit sizes 12-18. Our Japanique Jacket could also be crossed over and belted on a smaller sized person. These are all one-of-a-kind jackets, so sizing will vary slightly, see measurements given.
