This cotton kimono is actually called a nemaki (note the narrower sleeves) and is meant more for at-home use.  They are also offered as robes at spas and hotels. Normally they are lined, but this one is not.

This nemaki features a graphic, interlocking chain motif that extends down the kimono in vertical stripes. The repetition creates a sense of rhythm and order which is typical of traditional Japanese textile geometry. Classic dark blue and white color combination.

We paired this nemaki with one of our casual cotton sashes in orange. This is a contemporary style belt - not vintage - that is 5 inches wide and 6 feet long.
