This unusual style of tempe wear features a pleated area at the hem as well as a cross-over closure with ties on the inside left and outside right. The sleeves are long but not attached low on the bodice, as other monk robes are. This is an unlined summer robe made from a sheer black silk with a small repeated floral in the weave. Length measures 46", width across the back and sleeves is 60", and the waist is 46". A older piece, and though not fragile, it is light weight and has a delicate feel.
