"Ship on Parade" Nagoya Obi -- $59
| Festive
and cartoonish depiction of a large boat on wheels, banner a
flutter, being drawn through
the streets. Stiffer fabric, makes a fine taiko drum bow.The ship is on the bow section
of the obi, and at the center
belt is a collection of paraders.
The underside is open at the belt, revealing the woven
accent threads. (Taiko portion is sealed.) The maker's
name is embroidered in gold at the wide
end. Some slight
discolorations here and there but till quite wearable. |
