"Embroidered Arrows" Nagoya Obi -- $150
| If you know vintage embroidery, you'll appreciate this gem. The color choices, the many different stitching techniques, and the elaborate hand work will keep you enthralled for hours. The arrow designs feature the traditional florals at the wide bow section and again at the narrow belt portion. And there is a bonus bit of embroidery at the very end, overtop of the maker's embossed name. The checkerboard jacquard provides the balanced background which allows the metalics to really pop. Quite wearable but, lets face it, this is a display piece. |
