| 5/18: Depart for Japan, lose a day in transit and arrive in Japan on the 19th. | 5/19: Arrive in Japan and make your way to The Palace Side Hotel in Kyoto. (We can help with directions.)

5/20: Get Acclimated - Folks usually rise very early the first morning - we stroll the Imperial Palace Park, walk along the river....adjust to Japan. Afternoon of sightseeing for whoever has the energy... Lunch provided |
5/21: Toji Temple Market Early morning will find us at the market, showing you the best places to find bargains on textiles and everything else. Spend as much of the day as you like here. Show and tell later... Dinner provided |
5/22: Workshop #1- An indigo and shibori workshop The rest of the day touring around. Dinner provided |
5/23: Free Day - Do whatever you like - we can help with any arrangements needed. Museums, workshops, shopping, etc... See below for ideas... Meals on your own |

5/24: Workshop #2 - A half day rozome (wax resist) at a small family-run studio where we make our own souvenirs. Dinner provided |
5/25: Kitano Temple Market - Another great flea market day. Pick up what you missed at Toji or seek new treasures. Again, we help you find the best deals! Move to the ryokan inn and get to know our new neighborhood. Lunch provided |
5/26: Free Day Come along with me to my favorite temple if you like... Traditional breakfast Provided |
5/27: Workshop #3 - Organic Dyes We make our own t-shirts and scarves in a natural vegetable dying workshop at an organic farm in a small mountain village just north of Kyoto. (Full day!) Lunch provided |
5/28: Free Day Meals on your own |
5/29: Depart Kyoto, arrive in US on the same day. (Or stay longer....!)
